The monk who sold his Ferrari

Till my 18th birthday I used to blame my parents for not being millionaires and for not providing us with branded(luxurious) goods like clothes, watches ,food from MNCs and other knick knacks. But that year I came to read Robin Sharma's ' The monk who sold his Ferrari '  which was gifted by my History teacher Mrs.Deepa Joy. The book was thought provoking and it made me realize that the biggest wealth in life is Inner Peace.
Even if my parents has not bought me an iPhone or Levi Strauss , I'm thankful to them because they have always tried their best to provide us with quality education , 3 times meal and roof over our heads.
We, Human are confused with the thought that living a non materialistic life is like life of a monk but that's not true wealth of our lives are memories but not our material possessions.

Time is 'Teching' !!

Memories, are those mornings when
We rise to the twittering of birds
Tweet, tweet, tweet!
Notifies the Twitter bird now.
Memories, are those days when

Students faced their books
Blink, blink, blink-
OMG they’re on Facebook!
Gone are the days we spoke,
To loved ones, now on our own
We just have our laptops
Our tabs and our phones.
But time is costlier
Than all of these combined
So tap your gadgets, turn them off
Its time to live your life.

The Indian Woman

In this land I'm Durga Kali Saraswati

Where, I live in austerity

Whenever I raise my voice,

 they shut my mouth and,

When I'm silent they stab me from back.

I wear bangles, for they show my power,

I've rounds of vermilion on my forehead,

For they show my courage.

I'm a woman who unmould's the clay

and finds in it life  and

Who toils for colorful today and tomorrows.
